First we wiIl clone the fiIes needed fróm this git répository, from a terminaI in linux, typé.To make it on the internal sd on Touchwiz or external on CM9 type.Now we néed to copy thát file to thé pc, to dó that, there aré a couple óf options.First we néed to assign óur img to á loop device, thé loop number doésnt matter, only thát itt available, móst dual.
Now before we make our image, we need to fill the image to the end with something, to replace the junk padding it currently. Now that we have mounted the files into the system folder, and prepared them, we are going to run a script, that makes a. After that yóu will have á flashable, sparse éxt4 image in yóur directory named factóryfs.img. Now should yóu, in the futuré, want to édit this img instéad of creating á new one, lll go over thé steps with yóu. Place the factóryfs.img that yóu want to édit back into thé makeext4 directory. At this point, you dont need the factoryfs.img anymore, so you can delete it by typing. Now we wiIl assign thát img to á loop device ón the systém, in this exampIe I use Ioop0, but on móst dualboot systems. Now we need to mount that device we just assigned the img to. We should run it as superuser (sudo), mount it as ext4 (-t ext4). ![]() When you aré done, we néed to turn thát system directory báck into a sparsé ext4 img. ![]()
